The 2010 Newport Beach Film Festival will spotlight over 350 films from around the world, including feature length narrative, documentary, short, animated and student films that will compete for a series of Jury, Festival Honors and Audience Awards. The 2010 NBFF will host red carpet Opening and Closing Night Gala Celebrations, International Spotlight events, an Action Sports Film Series, an Environmental Film Series, a Family Film Series, a Collegiate Showcase, a Youth Film Showcase and a free Seminar Series.
The Festival runs from April 22nd to April 29th, 2010.

SCRIPTWRITING CONTEST FOR MUSIC VIDEO « Result #8 on Dec 22, 2008, 6:19am »
Filmaka.com is now accepting pitches for music videos that could be showcased during the CBS broadcast of the Grammy Awards! You send in your pitch and Filmaka will select 10 videos and fund their production with $7,500. Each video must use one of several songs streaming on the website and feature the 2009 Lincoln MKS luxury sedan. Five winning filmmakers will receive $5,000 cash prize and could have a version of their video air during the CBS broadcast of the Grammy Awards! The Newport Beach Film Festival will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with an action-packed line up of independent and studio films from around the globe. From premieres of contemporary cinema, to live fashion shows, and tastes of Newport Beach’s finest culinary creations, we are offering filmmakers the ultimate Festival experience.
The Festival features nightly special events including: red carpet galas, filmmaker receptions, compelling filmmaker Q & A sessions, international spotlights, industry seminars and retrospectives. In addition, the Festival hosts numerous opportunities to connect with enthusiastic new audiences, fellow filmmakers, film industry professionals and the media in a beautiful seaside location in Orange County, California (only 55 miles south of Hollywood).
